The practice of preparing medications dates back to the origins of pharmacy. Compounding is the traditional method of preparing customised medications to help meet unique physician and patient needs.

At Emily Roberts Pharmacy we like to give patients the type of personalized care they deserve.  We believe this is best achieved through establishing a three way relationship between the patient, doctor and pharmacist.  The doctor or specialist prescribes the medication, then we take the necessary ingredients, compound them and dispense the medicine to the patient after a thorough consultation.  This enables our patients to receive the type of personalized care they deserve.  Our pharmacists have undertaken specialised training in compounding and participate in ongoing professional development to maintain their skills.

We have a sophisticated compounding laboratory on the premises with the modern equipment needed to prepare quality compounded medications. In conjunction with our program of potency testing our compounds this ensures product quality.

Our Compounding Pharmacists and Technicians are fully trained by PCCA (Professional Compounding Chemists of Australia) and are there to help meet your unique needs and optimise your health and wellbeing.

Our compounding pharmacist will consult with you about your prescription and conduct a risk assessment before compounding is commenced. Please be aware that most compounded products require a doctor’s prescription.

Speak to our Compounding pharmacist today to optimise your health and wellbeing.

All medications that are classed as Prescription Only Medicines require a doctor's prescription before compounding can occur.
